In an effort to give you some insight into the products we plan to send through our rigorous testing process here at Dirt Rag, we’ve come up with the Stuff Preview series. Each week, we’ll present one product that is currently in the hands of one of our testing staff. We’ll post a photo of the product, and give you the basic skinny as put forth by the product manufacturer. These products will appear in a future issue of Dirt Rag, and you’ll have to subscribe or buy the issue to get the full review.

This week we have the Giro Remedy CF Helmet.

Karl, Dirt Rag Product Testing Coordinator, says: “While wrangling full-face helmets for review, Giro’s carbon fiber  Remedy CF jumped out as particularly interesting. Mind you, there’s  nothing wrong with your typical brain bucket, but the Remedy CF’s light-weight carbon fiber construction, cool 14 vents, and blingy gold graphics made it just  too hard to resist.”

Manufacturer’s Description
Because heavy situations demand extra protection, the Remedy CF has been constructed of the most sophisticated composite materials and construction methods available. The Remedy CF (for Carbon Fiber) is up to 30% lighter than other full face helmet designs, and it’s been optimized to work great with Giro goggles, a proprietary feature we call SuperFit. But it’s the little details like cool ventilation, washable interior liner, no-tool visor adjust, and mind bending graphic artwork that really put the Remedy CF in a class of its own.

Manufacturer’s Features
Optimized SuperFit™ goggle port, adjustable 3 screw, no tool, bolt-on visor, washable interior lining, replacement cheek pads and inner-liner available

Manufacturer’s Specs

  • Construction: Carbon composite shell with EVA-lined chinbar, EPS liner
  • Ventilation: 14 vents, internal channeling
