First Annual Mercer Mountain Bike Festival
Originally posted on October 20, 2009 at 19:12 pmScheduled for October 31st, 2009 at Belle Mountain in New Jersey, the First Annual Mercer Mountain Bike Festival will include racing, food, music, a cycling industry expo, ride clinics and Halloween activities for families. Belle Mountain is a retired ski area in Mercer County, NJ that has been sitting relatively undisturbed since its closing several years ago.
Competitive events will consist of men’s and women’s downhill dual slalom races for all categories (professional as well as age-grouped expert, sport and beginner). Races will be open to licensed and non-licensed riders. The race courses are being designed by Jim Dellavalle of Mad March Racing.
There will also be an uphill challenge, a BMX pump pit, and top professional freeride and trials rider Jeff Lenosky will be performing a stunt show.
