In a previously published story we told you about Zach Adams, the motivated and successful young man who runs the Pennsylvania Scholastic Cycling League for high schoolers, puts on mountain bike events, and also coaches young racers. Zach has been promoting youth cycling and healthy living since he turned 16 years of age (the past three years for those of you who are counting).

The NorCal High School Mountain Bike Racing League would like to bring Zach out for it’s annual Leaders’ Summit in Marin the weekend of October 17-18th to learn how the NorCal League has been promoting high school mountain bike racing on the west coast. At the Leaders’ Summit Zach will collaborate with other experienced coaches to gain new insights and his experience from PA.

The NorCal League is looking for donors to help cover the cost of Zach’s travel expenses, estimated to be around $650. All proceeds will go directly to offsetting Zach’s travel expenses to the 2009 NorCal Leaders’ Summit. To get the party started Dirt Rag has kicked in $100 and urges readers to give what they can to help bring east and west together—in the name of promoting high school mountain biking. The NorCal League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, all donations are 100% tax deductible. Donations can be made on-line via this Norcal League webpage.
