The Philadelphia Mountain Biking Association (PMBA), in cooperation with the Fairmount Park Commission and the Friends of the Wissahickon, presents the 3rd annual Rally in the Valley on Saturday, April 18th, 2009. Join Philly area bikers for a “fun ride” in the Wissahickon Valley section of Fairmount Park, followed by a pig roast and a raffle with plenty of sweet swag. There will be three marked courses: for recreational, intermediate, and advanced riders. There will also be a kid’s area and course for the whole family to enjoy, and demo bike by Marin, Cannondale, Fuji and EWR. All of the proceeds will benefit the trail system, through monthly PMBA trail maintenance days and via a donation to the Friends of the Wissahickon to support their Sustainable Trails Initiative project.

Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. with parking located on Northwestern Ave off Germantown Ave in Lafayette Hill, close to Chestnut Hill College (Google Map: “W Northwestern Ave, 19118”). Adults 19 years and older: $25, Kids from 8-18: $10, and kids 7 and under are free! More info at www.phillymtb.org.
