USA Cycling’s Mountain Bike State and Regional Championship events serve as automatic qualifiers for the USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships. At each event, the top 15 riders from each discipline, category and age group will be eligible to qualify for competition at the 2009 USA Cycling Mountain Bike National Championships set for July 16-19th in Granby, CO.

Any promoter with experience organizing three successful mountain bike races over the last three years is eligible to apply to host a USA Cycling Mountain Bike State or Regional Championship. Organizations, clubs or promoters applying for a USA Cycling Mountain Bike State or Regional Championship designation must have a demonstrated ability to organize high quality, professional events.
