Industry Nine Rounds Out All-Mountain Stem Collection with A318

Industry Nine is known for their pretty bike baubles. Not just because they are stunning, colorful additions to any bike build that will make your ride sparkle (and match!) with their anodization and CNC craftmanship, they are also lightweight and high quality. Dirt Rag visited their Asheville space back in February and reviewed the A35 stem back in May. The A318 is the is the newest dreamy addition to the A-Series, and it fits — you guessed probably guessed it — 31.8 mm diameter handlebar clamps. Taking name and shape from the A-axis in our five-axis machining center, the A318 is designed for all-mountain applications. A318 will be offered in lengths of 30mm, 40mm and 50mm geared for modern trail bike geometry.
Both of Industry Nine’s A-Series stems are crafted from domestically sourced 7075 aluminum billet into an impeccable design of equal form and function. Leaning on practices refined from over a decade of CNC manufacturing, A318 represents another uncompromising Industry Nine component. The A318 Stem will be machined, anodized and assembled entirely in our Asheville, NC facility and available in all 11 anodized color options. Offering unparalleled customization, riders will have a plethora of stylistic options thanks to the ability to mix and match different colored stem body and faceplates.
The A35 we tested was a quality stem and looked beautiful on the test bike, and the A138 will likely be no different. According to Industry Nine, it was tested extensively on i9’s in-house stem and handlebar testing unit to meet and exceed the ISO standard resulting in a reliable component that meets at the junction of form and function. A318 Stems are currently available and ready to ship.
