Even more sweet finds at Interbike, Pt. 3 – Dakine, Rivendell and Green Guru product
Originally posted on September 25, 2018 at 0:01 amDakine has a sick new gravity line called Thrillium, with their partnership with Graham Agissiz and Team Aggy, bringing a very specific “wolf” vibe, which I am not opposed to, into both their men’s and women’s cuts. They have new knee pads and gloves, and their baggies have been redesigned to offer a ton of ventilation up top in the hip flexor area. The material for their baggies is Schoeller’s ecorepel® Bio, which is supposedly tear-resistant and breathable.
Rivendell was showcasing their new Gus-Boots Willsen, a mountain bike built for 2.8” 650b tires. Despite its distinct old-timey vibe, it is built for one-by geometry with a 73mm bottom bracket. Rider weight is centered over the bottom bracket, just front of the rear wheel, so the rider is stable but still upright. It’s a very sturdy looking bike, not designed for technical trails, but looks like a lot of fun for taking a weekend trip out into the woods or getting lost on your way home from work.
Green Guru also has a new line of products out, focusing on adventure with a good dose of raucous and rambunctiousness thrown in there. a top tube 6-pack holder, a handlebar bag with modular velcro straps to carry what you’d like (such as a fly fishing kit or a cocktail maker), and a fork bag to keep your cans upright. Their version of a saddle pack has an added feature of a shoulder strap, making it easy to take in to a store for groceries or on that last hike-only leg of a trail to get to that picnic spot with a killer view.
Stay tuned to tomorrow for more on Interbike and the goods coming your way in 2019 (or maybe already on the shelves of your local bike shop).
