Mixtape Monday Vol.4

We are back with Vol.4 of the Monday Mixtape. This week, we turned the keys to the mixing board over to our Social Media Master and Camera Controller Brett Rothmeyer:

I wasn’t quite sure how to approach this mix. At first, I thought about just doing a mix of all my favorite Kanye West tracks. Then I thought of doing a good dose of some of my favorite recent metal releases. Lucky for anyone checking this mix out, I did neither of the two but instead shared some of my go-to artists from over the last few years. In the pursuit of chasing cyclists around with a camera, I spend an awful lot of time in the car alone driving to events and races. The artists and songs featured on this mix have kept me company for an infinite number of hours on empty highways; they have kept me awake and in some ways have influenced the photos I take when I’m on these trips.

In the digital age, the art of the mixtape is one that has taken the backseat to iPod shuffles and streaming apps’ automated playlists. We here at Dirt Rag appreciate a good mix created by real people that convey a feeling and a bit of personality. Please enjoy Mixtape Monday Vol.4 responsibly here.
