Jones Bikes launches new Titanium Spaceframe Plus LWB

Back in the early 2000’s, Oregon-based framebuilder Jeff Jones came out with the Titanium 3D Spaceframe, featuring short rear ends and titanium tubing designed to maximize vertical compliance and lateral stiffness. Originally built around 26 inch wheels, he made the switch to 29ers as soon as they began to become popular, and more recently, of course, he began building the Jones Plus. The Jones Plus utilized Jones’ long wheelbase geometry design (known as LWB) and straight tubing rather than his original Spaceframe design.
The Jones Titanium Spaceframe Plus LWB combines the best attributes of the Jones Plus with the Spaceframe – vertical flex for comfort, torsionally stiffness and improved standover clearance with a low-slung top tube, all built around plus tires and Jones’ Truss fork. All of Jones’ bikes are designed to be run fully rigid, with the frame and fork designed to provide a compliant ride even without suspension.
According to Jones, “While every new frameset Jeff has designed over the years has been a step forward, this is one that he’s been wanting to make for a long time, and it really represents the pinnacle of his thinking and work on how to make a high-performance, non-suspension bicycle.”
