Industry Nine releases new Trail wheelset

Today, Industry Nine launched its Trail270 wheelset, which will replace the Trail245.

These aluminum rims borrowed elements from the burlier Enduro305 and Grade300 downhill rims to create what I-9 claims to be its “most impact resistant Trail rim to date.”

The Trail270 is available in both 27.5 inch and 29 inch configurations with 32 hole and 24 hole drilling. The 24 hole giving a slightly more supple ride while shaving a few grams in the process.

The Trail270 also adds 2.5mm to the internal width of the rim over previous generations, resulting in a 27mm internal rim width and a wider platform for bead seating. The Trail 270 rims are designed to run 2.2-2.5 inch wide tires.

Just like every other wheel in the lineup, the hubs and spokes can be customized with any of Industry Nine’s 11 colors through its AnoLab page. A cosmetic bonus to these rims over previous ones is slightly more subtle rim graphics.

Weight specs:

  • 27.5″ 24H – 1480g
  • 27.5″ 32H – 1560g
  • 29″ 24H – 1560g
  • 29″ 32H – 1650g

MSRP: $1225 for 24H, $1245 for 32H
