Bold Cycles previews new bike with hidden shock

Carbon fiber is capable of some amazing things, and the shapes that it can create have allowed bike designers to really get creative with suspension design. One of the most unusualĀ ideas we’ve seen in years is the new Linkin Trail from the Swiss brand Bold Cycles.

Essentially a basic four-bar design, it is unusual in that in places the shock entirely within the seat tube for a clean look. It’s not clear how you can adjust the air pressure or any of the shock settings without dropping it out of the frame, but once you get things set it sure looks good. According to the video it has 130 mm of travel and will fit 29-inch or 27plus wheels with its 148 rear spacing.

Watch for more when the bike is official debuted this weekend at boldcycles.com or see some behind-the-scenes photos at the brand’s Facebook page.
