Industry magazine hosting bike shop makeover and remodeling

The retail experience can vary widely throughout the local bike shop universe. Some are mega stores, some are tiny “mom and pops”. What is essential to their long-term survival, however, is the retail experience for customers. Now a new project will give a “retail makeover” to one chosen bike shop.

Bicycle Retailer and Industry News, a bike industry trade publication, has partnered with 3 Dots Design, a retail design firm, to launch the Retail Remodel project, inspired by the popular home and restaurant renovation TV shows. The fully redesigned store will appear in the May 15 issue of Bicycle Retailer and Industry News, along with merchandising tips for other shops to take advantage of.

Bike shops can apply via this online form, so if you have a favorite local shop, encourage them to apply.
