Rocky Mountain is bringing the Blizzard back with a “new class of fat bike.” The aluminum frame is built around the new RockShox Bluto fat bike fork and a trail bike bias to ride out any storm.
The Blizzard was designed for a distinct “mountain bike” feel, with a 68.5 degree head tube angle and clearance for 4.7 inch tires. The frame features a 100mm bottom bracket, 12×197 thru axle rear spacing and the 100mm Bluto fork uses a 15×150 spaced hub. It also has full length internal cable routing, including stealth dropper post routing.
The build kit includes a custom Race Face crankset with a 24 tooth narrow/wide chainring and a bashguard that can be swapped by the customer for a double chainring if desired. The brakes and shifters are Shimano SLX paired with a XT Shadow Plus read derailleur. The wheels are 80mm SunRingle tubeless compatible rims laced to Wheeltech hubs and wrapped with Vee Rubber Bulldozer folding tires.
Adding to its versatility are two sets of triple bottle bosses for accessories and a frame bag specifically designed and builtĀ for the Blizzard by Porcelain Rocket.
