Electra, the southern California seaside cruiser bike company acquired by Trek in early January, is introducing the Moto—one of its more accessible models–in November.

Two models (a singlespeed and three-speed internal) will retail for $549-$659. The company calls the Moto a “blend between a cruiser, mountain bike and a BMX racer.”  The Moto has 29-inch wheels, disc brakes and an aluminum frame, and appears to be suited more for wreaking urban havoc than tearing up singletrack.
Specs on the two models (Single Speed and 3i) are:
Single Speed

  • Matte Blue, Matte Black
  • Mountain Cruiser 6061-T6 Aluminum frame
  • 29-inch wheels
  • Hayes mechanical disc brakes
  • Retail: $549

3i

  • Matte Cream
  • Mountain Cruiser 6061-T6 Aluminum frame
  • 29-inch wheels
  • SRAM i-Motion 3-speed internal rear hub with Hayes mechanical disc brake
  • SRAM i-3 Twist Shifter
  • Retail: $659

What do you think? Does the Moto get you motivated?
