White Brothers and MRP are sister brands under the Mountain Racing Products umbrella and we stopped by their booth at Sea Otter to see the new goods.

With 34-35mm stanchion forks taking over the lion’s share of the market, White Brothers is set to fire back with their own bigger chassis. Shown here are prototypes, but the lowers are the final castings, so the investment to make these forks happen is already in place.

Two versions will be available: 29-inch in 150mm and 27.5-inch in 170mm. The fork will be air-sprung, but now includes an adjustable air chamber dial. One of the complaints about the current air spring is a too linear feel for some riders, being able to increase progressiveness by shrinking the air chamber size should help dial in the feel for more riders.

Price should be under $900, and availability is looking to be in the fall 2013.

MRP has new Bling rings in black. These rings fit all SRAM GPX bolt on spider cranks (XO, XX1, X9, AKA, and some X7). Those with BB30 cranks will have their own version of the Bling ring soon to work with the larger spindle and different tooth offset.

Sizes are 28-36 in even tooth counts only. These are a super clean set up for single speeds or 1x drivetrains. 100 percent made in the U.S.A.
