Santa Cruz unveils new carbon V10 downhill bike

Now you can ride the same bike that Steve Peat, Josh Bryceland, and World Champion Greg Minnar of the Santa Cruz Syndicate have been piloting throughout the 2012 World Cup.
The new V10 from Santa Cruz is 7.9 pounds of full-carbon tied together with 8.5-10 inches of rear wheel travel. Santa Cruz is so sure it’s the lightest, strongest downhill frame in the world they’ve extended the warranty to five years, and kept the lifetime guarantee on bearings and crash-replacement policy. Syndicate riders will even race full production frames in 2013.
Other details include:
- 157mm rear axle spacing for easier wheel installation.
- New molded rubber swingarm and downtube protectors.
- New integrated fork bumpers with cable guide.
- New carbon upper link for increased stiffness.
- Forged aluminum lower link with recessed grease ports.
- Collet axle pivots for lock in place without pinch bolts.
- Direct mount rear derailleur hanger.
- Full carbon dropouts and disk mounts.
- Co-molded aluminium hardware on upper pivot and bottom bracket with no bonding.
Price for the frame and shock is $3,499 with two complete build kits available.
