Trek 2013: New trail 29er hardtail, plus other changes across the line

Trek sent us some details of the 2013 mountain bike line and the biggest news is the introduction of a trail-oriented hardtail 29er, the Stache. While not as extreme as bikes like the Kona Honzo or Diamondback Mason, it is still built around a 120mm fork, a 142×12 thru-axle, ISCG tabs, short chainstays, internal dropper post rounting, and a 2×10 drivetrain. There will be two trim levels available.
Stache
The Superfly and Superfly 100 are completely redesigned for 2013, morphing into full-blown race bikes. Trek’s carbon fiber development program – known as the Apollo Project – reduced the weight of the hardtail frame below 900 grams.
Superfly
The Superfly 100 – with 100mm of Active Braking Pivot travel, natch – will be available in carbon and aluminum versions, while the Superfly hardtail will have several carbon versions available.
Superfly 100
The Venerable Fuel EX line becomes even more versatile for 2013, with a bump to 130mm of travel, internal dropper post cable routing, ISCG tabs, and the same svelte frame weight. Several versions will be available in both carbon and aluminum.
