Our favorite part of fall: Pumpkin beer

You know what I like about autumn? Beer and Pie. The leaves are nice too.

One of my several guilty pleasures is pumpkin beer. So every year I like to have my fill of the spicy and sometimes sweet-edged craft brews that are seemingly becoming more popular – according to Esquire Magazine’s list of The Bigger Pumpkin Beer.

A lot of those are on my short list like Dogfish Head’s Punkin Ale and my more relatively hometown Southern Tier Pumking. One of my personal favorites is Saranac’s Pumkin Ale, which didn’t make the Esquire cut, but it did get on The Boston Globe’s list at #12, so take my reccomedo or leave it.

Here are the current Boston Globe results (a lot of New England beers at the top… However, I can’t really argue with the list. Maybe New England just does pumkin beer better.)
