SRAM pulled the wraps off four new wheels this week: The Rise 60 with carbon rims and the Rise 40 with aluminum rims. Each version is available in 26-inch or 29-inch versions.

Aimed at cross-country racers or riders, the wheels use aluminum hubs and 24 stainless spokes front and rear. The hubs are compatible with 9mm or 15mm QR front and 10x135mm or 12x142mm rear spacing. The Rise 60 hubs also use a lighter aluminum driver body compared to the Rise 40 hubs’ steel driver body. The rims are not UST compatible.

Claimed weights are 1,330g (26-inch) and 1,420g (29-inch) for the Rise 60 and 1,710g (26-inch) and 1,840g (29-inch) for the Rise 40.

Stay tuned for a full review as soon as we can get our mitts on a pair.
