New bikes, builds from Salsa

First up is the all-new Horsethief, a 29er trail bike, build around 120mm of travel front and rear. Don’t think of it as a replacement for the Big Mama, either. It takes many of its styling and engineering cues from the Spearfish.
Details include a 6061 alloy frame, PF30 bottom bracket, ICSG tabs, 142x12mm rear axle, cable guides for dropper seatposts, and sealed bearing pivots.
The Horsethief will be available as a frame or complete. MSRP is $1,399 for the frame, $2,949 for a complete.
Mamasita
The Mamasita hardtail 29er has been a mainstay at Salsa for quite a while, and the 2012 version sees some new features arrive and some ride into the sunset.
What’s gone? The carbon stays and the scandium tubing, replaced with an agressively shaped alloy tubing Salsa calls Xtrolite.
That tubing features modern touches like a tapered headtube and PressFit30 bottom bracket shell.
Mamasita framesets are available now. MSRP is $599.
Complete bikes will be available in November. MSRP will be $2,099.
