Alex Pro booted by sponsors for rioting

Professional mountain biker Alex Prochazka, who goes by the name Alex Pro, seems to have thrown away his career after several photos of him rioting in the aftermath of the Vancouver Canucks’ loss in the Stanley Cup Finals surfaced online.

Alex was publicly outed on websites that were set up to identify rioters, and he can be clearly seen in the photograph below, wearing the t-shirt of one of his sponsors, Oakley, no less.That’s him with his tounge out.

Oakley Canada, along with Target, another major sponsor, have withdrawn all public support for him after the incident came to light. This message was posted on its Facebook page: "We are currently reviewing our relationship with Alex Pro & will be taking actions to see that Alex becomes aware that we do not accept behavior like this from any of our athletes or spokesperson(s)." His bio has also pulled from the Target website.

Alex’s bio still appears on the Commencal website, where the 20-year-old downhill racer lists his hometown as Whistler, British Columbia, and his loves as "girls, country music, my pickup trucks." 

In the wake of the scandal, he has also resigned from the North Shore Mountain Bike e-magazine’s Team Young Guns.
