The beauty of the bicycle

Last week I heard about a new project from Renissance Bicycles in North Carolina, The Bicycle As Art, a blog highlighting user-contributed artwork and cultural artifacts inspired by bicycles.

One piece I found particularly cool was Joseph L. Griffith’s "Drawing Machine #1", which uses pedal power to create abstract art. It looks pretty complicated, but you can check out his site to see how it works.
