Bikes and beers get together at Marin County Biketoberfest

Marin County California is widely considered the birthplace of the mountain bike, and Biketoberfest is its premiere bike event of the year.
With a handmade bike show, a brewfest and, of course, plenty of riding, every kind of cyclist will be represented and find something for them at FairAnslem Plaza in Fairfax, Calif., October 16.
Bring your spending money – and a ride home – to experience the best of the 50+ vendors and 30+ beers to sample. Or maybe you can work off the carbs with your choice of a cyclocross race, a road ride with pro racer Alison Starnes or a mountain ride with the Luna Chix mountain bike team. You’ll even get a chance to ride with the legends themselves after a screening of Klunkerz, the documentary chronicling the birth of mountain biking and the personalities behind it.
If you’re not up for riding you can still drool over the custom bikes from names like Steelman, Retrotec, Soulcraft, Sycip, Calfee, Kish, Hunter, Ahrens and more.
There will be live music and family entertainment too. Tickets are available now online and at the door.
