Mixtape Monday Vol. VII

Hear ye, hear ye! It is now the first Monday of December, and time for another Mixtape Monday. Sound the bells!

This month, Trina Haynes has come along to give us some sweet tuneage to get us through these shortest days of the year while we approach the winter solstice. Trina’s been at Rotating Mass Media for a long time, and has worked just about every department, while simultaneously helping out every other department. As a small staff, her hard work, knowledge, and general awesomeness to be around doesn’t go unnoticed and we literally couldn’t do it without her. She’s is Dirt Rag’s Leslie Knope.

Volume VII, like Trina, is dancey, optimistic, and grounded. It’s a little short, just like Trina, but every song is just what you didn’t know you needed to hear. Trina gives the hard truth sometimes, but with knowledge and experience to back it up, and almost always with either a solution of an understanding that she will help. I like riding with Trina because she enjoys the trail for what it is, and what surrounds it, and what impedes it. And will take her time to master an obstacle or to check out some cool flora growing nearby.
