Vassago may specialize in making heavy-duty steel mountain bikes, but they wanted to offer their customers something a little bit more refined. Enter Black Label.

Designed in conjunction with their race team, the Black Label series of 29ers are constructed by hand of True Temper OX Platinum steel in the US of A with Paragon sliding dropouts. There are three stock sizes available and you can have any color as long as it’s black.

There will be three versions: The VerHauen, a light-weight race frame; the Hellstrom, a more burley version for larger or more aggressive riders; and the Axten, a gear-specific version.

The VerHauen is shipping now and quantities are limited. Look for the other two in the near future, but pre-orders are avialable.

Prices are $1,125-$1,160, and you can order through TrailsEdge.com.
